Policy on the Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
The journal supports the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to enhance the quality of scientific publications while adhering to principles of academic integrity, publication ethics, and transparency.
- General Provisions
Authors may use AI tools for auxiliary tasks such as grammar, style, formatting, or structural organization of the text.
The use of AI is not permitted for generating original scientific conclusions, data interpretation, peer reviews, experimental results, or any part of the manuscript that determines the scientific novelty of the work.
The journal reserves the right to verify the originality and accuracy of any material created or processed using AI.
- Permissible Uses of AI
Correction of grammar, spelling, and language style.
Formatting text and preparing references according to journal requirements.
Structural checks for logical consistency and organization of the manuscript.
Identifying potential grammatical or stylistic inconsistencies in the text.
- Impermissible Uses of AI
Generation of original scientific text or conclusions without author oversight.
Processing or interpretation of experimental results.
Preparation of abstracts, conclusions, recommendations, or any part of the manuscript that determines scientific novelty, without author involvement.
Use of AI to fabricate or manipulate data, images, figures, or tables.
- Disclosure Requirements
Authors are required to clearly disclose in the manuscript any part of the work created or processed with AI.
Disclosures must include:
- name and version of the AI tool;
- scope of use (e.g., language correction, style check);
- limitations of AI usage (e.g., AI was not used to generate scientific conclusions).
Failure to disclose AI usage is considered a breach of publication ethics.
- Author Responsibility
Authors bear full responsibility for the accuracy and originality of all materials, even if AI was used in manuscript preparation.
Use of AI does not exempt authors from complying with academic integrity standards and COPE guidelines.
- Editorial Role
The editorial office reserves the right to review AI usage in submitted manuscripts and request clarifications from authors.
If impermissible AI use is detected, the editorial office may reject the submission or request corrections/retractions.
- Conclusion
This policy aims to ensure transparency, ethical conduct, and accountability in the use of AI technologies in scientific publications. AI should serve as a supportive tool rather than a replacement for the author’s scientific judgment.
