Abstract

The article highlights the role and place of the discipline «Geography of Navigation and Ocean Shipping Routes of the World» in the system of training of future navigators. The learning objectives and tasks of the discipline, guidelines for the competency of professionals have been formulated. The focus is made on knowledge, skills, competencies and communication, which students have to learn and obtain in the process of learning «Geography of Navigation and Ocean Shipping Routes of the World».
