Abstract

Gear engagement has high kinematic accuracy and requires no additional adjustment work or replacement during operation. Connections bevel gear intermediate shaft enables transfer of torque at a considerable distance, which is characteristic for powerful low-speed marine engines. The use of compensating couplings provides no additional axial, radial and angular shaft loads on the bearings and gears. Reducing the drive works as follows. Torque of the crankshaft through bevel gears, and compensating intermediate shaft coupling is transmitted to the camshaft and leads him in motion. Compensating couplings compensate for axial, radial and angular deviation between the axes of bevel gears.
