VIBRATION AND NOISE REDUCTION MANAGEMENT, ABSORPTION AND SOUNDPROOFING ORGANIZATION ON MARINE VESSELS

Abstract

The paper discloses the human risk to vibration exposure and provides analysis of the main sources of noise on the ship. It also shows some measures to reduce the noise level on the ship. The research was conducted in two areas - noise reduction at the source and soundproofing of acoustic energy propagating through the air and the hull structure based on the application of automatic control system (ACS) and development of absorption means, which can be practically used as soundproof barriers, soundproof booths and control panels and acoustic screens. In the first direction of research automatic control of vibration reduction (noise) in the source, problems of analysis and synthesis are considered. A criterion of quality, which is also the vibration characteristic of flexible mechanical structures, is presented. Due to ACS development by the vibration of composite structures and a new method of its synthesis under external dynamic load, the vibration of the entire surface of the flexible mechanical structure was reduced. The second direction of investigation of different composition barium borate foam glass has shown its ability to be used as absorption material.
